The exercises are basic in their execution but they need to be done in a quick fashion so that your heart rate rises. That does happen and I think this workout is great but there are too many squats (I know the leg muscles are the large muscles...) for those whose knees may not be able to handle them. I was very sore the 1st two weeks but then it came together in time to progress to the intermediate level. For me this is a big leap and I will probably stay here until I can complete the sets. You must follow this up with major cardio stints throughout the week so the title is misleading. It still is a good exercise routine.
